South East Asia Property Awards

Keppel land won two awards at the inaugural South East Asia Property Awards 2011 by Ensign Media. The award recognises the crème de la crème across the region's residential real estate industry, promoting high standards in property, construction, architecture, interior design and industry professional services.

The gruelling and competitive process saw over 1,500 nominations received with just one winner emerged in each of the 28 categories.

IR Magazine South East Asia Awards

Keppel Land clinched the Grand Prix for Best Overall Investor Relations for small or mid cap companies at the annual Investor Relations (IR) Magazine South East Asia Awards held in December 2011. This annual event honors the South East Asian companies and individuals doing the best job of communicating with investors and analysts – in the opinion of those investors and analysts themselves. The winners of the awards are identified by an investor perception study which is being carried out this year by Mary Maude Research, the firm that does the research underlying IR magazine's US, Canada and Europe Awards. The research takes the form of hundreds of in-depth telephone interviews with individuals across Greater China and Singapore to find out why companies' IR are rate highly.

APREA Best Practices Awards

Keppel Land was awarded the Merit Award (Accounting and Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance categories) and Highly Commended Award in the mature markets at the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA) Best Practices Awards 2011. The APREA Best Practices Awards is open to all real estate firms and trusts listed on a regional stock exchange. It was organised by the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA), a non-profit industry association representing and promoting the real estate sector on a regional basis. The winners were selected based on the extent to which they have followed the recommendations presented in the APREA Best Practices Handbook in several areas including market disclosures, property valuation, accounting and financial reporting, corporate governance and performance reporting. They were also judged on their contributions in providing greater comparability and transparency in their region and local market.

The awards system is based on results pooled from a survey of senior decision makers in the global real estate industry and major corporate end-users from over 50 countries.

Singapore Corporate Awards – Best Managed Board (Silver)

Keppel Land received the Silver award for the Best Managed Board award at the sixth Singapore Corporate Awards (SCA) held on 21 July 2011.

This award commends Keppel Land’s dedication towards transparency, accountability, performance orientation, as well as good processes and practices.

Dubbed as the ‘Oscars’ of the Singapore’s corporate world, the SCA is organised by The Business Times and supported by the Singapore Exchange, to recognise excellence in shareholder communication and corporate governance.

Governance and Transparency Index

Keppel Land clinched the joint-third place among 660 companies at the Governance and Transparency Index (GTI) 2011. Jointly launched by The Business Times and the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations, the GTI assesses the governance standards and transparency (including investor relations practices) of companies.

The GTI replaces the previous Business Times-Corporate Transparency Index published by Business Times since 2000. The new index is broader in scope and more dynamic. Companies are awarded bonus and penalty points based on the degree of corporate governance and disclosure practices.

ASEAN Business Awards - Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise (Corporate Social Responsibility category)

Keppel Land Limited has been recognised the "Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise" under the Corporate Social Responsibility category at the ASEAN Business Awards 2010. The award ceremony took place in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 27 October 2010 and honours companies who have contributed significantly to ASEAN's economic growth and progress. It was organised in conjunction with the 16th ASEAN Summit themed ‘Towards the ASEAN Community from Vision to Action'. The annual ASEAN Business Awards, in its third year, is organised by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council. Results are based on the findings and evaluation by independent strategic partner, KPMG, in the following areas - framework for CSR, follows international guidelines, communication of CSR, as well as implementation and measurement.

SIAS Most Transparent Company Award

Keppel Land took the runner-up award for the Most Transparent Company under the Properties category at the SIAS Investors' Choice Award Presentation held in 2010. This is the eleventh time running that the company has won the award. Organised by the Securities Investors Association of Singapore, the transparency awards are to encourage and promote corporate transparency in Singapore. Companies were nominated by fund management firms, stockbroking and research houses, as well as the media. They were then assessed over a year, based on criteria such as timeliness of corporate disclosures, frequency, clarity and substantiality of their announcements, as well as their willingness to reveal information to analysts and the media.

Singapore Human Resources (HR) Awards

Keppel Land bagged three awards, namely, Leading HR Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility Award, Leading HR Practices in Region/International HR Award (Special Mention) and Leading HR Practices in Talent Management, Retention and Succession Planning Award (Special Mention) at the annual Singapore HR Awards held in August 2011.

Organised annually by the Singapore Human Resources Institute, the Awards honour and recognise individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions in enhancing people and human capital management and development practices. It also serves as a platform to promote and encourage people excellence by highlighting best practices.

Keppel Land received awards in the Corporate Social Responsibility (Leading), Performance Management (Special Mention) and E-HR Management (Special Mention) and E-HR Management (Special Mention) categories in 2010.

Singapore Corporate Awards - Best Annual Report (Gold)

Keppel Land again won the prestigious Gold Award for Best Annual Report in the category for companies with market capitalisation of $1 billion and above, at the Singapore Corporate Awards (SCA) 2009. Organized by The Business Times and supported by the Singapore Exchange and partners, the award recognises the most outstanding annual report based on criterion such as transparency, adequacy of disclosure and presentation of information.

Asia Pacific Property Awards

Keppel Land swept six awards from various categories at the recently held Asia Pacific Property Awards 2009 presented by CNBC.

Saigon Centre was also nominated for the International Property Awards in end-2009.

The Awards cover a wide span of 21 categories and pay tribute to the world's finest property companies through the International Awards, split into regions covering the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe & Africa, Arabia and United Kingdom.

Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. Silver Award

For its continuous efforts at promoting workplace health, Keppel Land received the Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. Silver Award in 2005, 2006 and 2008 from the Health Promotion Board. The annual award, which became a biennial event after 2005, accords national recognition to organisations with commendable workplace health promotion programmes that look into the wellness of their employees.

Keppel Land among "Singapore's Best Managed Companies" by FinanceAsia

Keppel Land has emerged with three top accolades from FinanceAsia's Best Managed Companies Poll 2008. The company won recognition in the categories of Singapore's Best Managed Company (5th), Best Corporate Governance (4th), and Best Investor Relations (8th).
