Marina Bay Financial Centre awarded the Associate of the Arts Award 2008

Marina Bay Financial Centre has been awarded the Associate of the Arts Award for the Patron of the Arts Award 2008 organised by the National Arts Council. Each year, in appreciation of the contributions made by sponsors toward the promotion and organisation of artistic activities, the National Arts Council recommends organisations and individuals for conferment of the prestigious award. The contributions made by sponsors will have a significant impact on the artistic development in Singapore, and include arts activities held at the grassroots level.

Marina at Keppel Bay wins Best Asian New Marina Award

Marina at Keppel Bay has been named Best Asian New Marina/Yacht Club award at the Christofle Asia Boating Awards 2008, the region’s premier boating event which recognises the best in the leisure marine industry. Marina at Keppel Bay scored for its innovative pontoon system built by US-based Bellingham Marine Industries, as well as its excellent service standards.

Marina at Keppel Bay is the only marina in Southeast Asia managed by a fully-trained and qualified marina management team. The Marina team members, from senior management and service crew to administrative staff, have all attended a marina management course conducted by Australian marina specialist, Marina Industries Association of Australia. It is also the first in Asia to achieve the Clean Marinas Programme Accreditation, an accreditation system to promote clean environmental practices in the marina industry business.

Caribbean at Keppel Bay receives Merit Award for Construction Excellence 2006

Caribbean at Keppel Bay obtained the Merit Award for Construction Excellence 2006 from the Building and Construction Authority. The award accords recognition to construction projects which have demonstrated performance excellence in Singapore in terms of attention to high standards of management, technical expertise and workmanship.

Safety Award Merit Certificate for Caribbean at Keppel Bay and Butterworth 8

Caribbean at Keppel Bay and Butterworth 8 were awarded the Safety Award Merit Certificate by the Minstry of Manpower in 2005 for good safety performance and basic safety management systems. Projects were thoroughly assessed and judged on areas including safety training, safety promotional activities, safety innovation teams and committees, self-regulation for safety, incident/accident investigation and analysis, control of contractors, emergency preparedness and occupational health programme. The panel of judges comprised representatives from the Ministry, Singapore National Employers Federation, Singapore Contractors Association, Singapore Confederation of Industries, Association of Singapore Marine Industry and the National Trades Union Congress.

ACES for Caribbean at Keppel Bay

Caribbean at Keppel Bay won the Design Excellence Award in the Civil and Structural category at the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES) Awards ceremony held in September 2003. ACES, a non-profit organisation representing local independent consulting engineers, first launched the Award for Innovative Design in November 1997 to recognise innovative engineering projects in Singapore. The award was bestowed upon Caribbean's consultant, T.Y.Lin South East Asia Pte Ltd, in recognition for their involvement in the project.

Equity Plaza won Recognition at Marble Architectural Awards 2005

In March 2005, Equity Plaza has been bestowed "Special Mention" in the "21st Marble Architectural Awards 2005" organised by Internazionale Marmi e Macchine Carrara of Italy. The prestigious architecture award, which is specifically for foreign architects who use Italian marble and stone and their suppliers, was awarded to Raymond Woo & Associates Architects for the use of Carmelian Red (granite) - USA in the exterior of Equity Plaza.

IFR Asia Securitisation Deal of the Year (2002) Award

In June 2002, Keppel Land (KLL) took an innovative approach in monetising S$355 million worth of receivables from the sale of three residential developments (Amaranda Gardens, The Edgewater and Butterworth 8). The monetisation exercise, which was successfully completed with Hypo-und Vereinsbank AG Asia (HVB Asia), allowed KLL to bring forward cash flows from the three projects which were sold with deferred payment scheme. It also strengthened KLL's balance sheet by reducing KLL's gearing and provided capital to pursue growth opportunities.

The transaction has won the prestigious IFR Asia Securitisation Deal of the Year (2002) Award. IFR Asia is part of Thomson Financial, a leading provider of integrated information solutions to business and professional markets worldwide.

Awards for Bugis Junction

Parco Bugis Junction was awarded the Shopping Centre Score Card Competition - Best in Tenant Relationship award by Singapore Retailers Association in 2005.

Bugis Junction has been awarded the Water Efficient Building by Public Utilities Board of Singapore in May 2005.

The mall was also awarded the "Excellent Effort in Mall Maintenance" by the Singapore Retailers Association in October 2004. Selection was based several criteria including the building's maintenance efforts as well as tenants relations.

Parco was voted by the public as one of the top three shopping malls in Singapore to provide the Best Christmas Shopping Experience for two consecutive years in 2004 and 2003. Organised by the Association of Shopping Centres, the judging criteria included the Christmas decoration and ambience, range and price of merchandise, service, promotions, entertainment and other value-added services like gift-wrapping, complimentary gifts and lucky draws.

In 2003, Parco received the "COOL Singapore" Award and the internationally-acclaimed MAXI Award for its efforts at combating SARS.

Parco Bugis Junction won the top prize in the Best Decorated Building Competition for Christmas organised by the Singapore Tourism Board for two years consecutively in 2000 and 2001. Bugis Junction has received many awards since its opening in 1995. It won the Singapore Tourism Board Award for "Best Shopping Experience - Shopping Centre Award" for 1996 and 1997 consecutively, for its novel approach to retail. In 1997, 1999 and 2001, both the shopping mall and the office tower of Bugis Junction won the prestigious Fire Safety Excellence Award. The Fire Safety Excellence Award is an bi-annual ceremony organised by the National Fire Prevention Council to audit as well as honour building owners and managers who maintain high standards of fire safety. And for winning the Fire Safety Excellence Award for three times in a row, Bugis Junction was presented the highest award, the Special Mention Award in 2001.

Three Awards for Capital Square

Capital Square, a Grade A office building completed only in 1998, has thus far received three awards. On 15 May 2000, Capital Square bagged two awards at the Building Construction Authority’s (BCA) Awards Presentation Ceremony. It received the "Certificate of Merit for Construction Excellence 2000" and "Best Buildable Design 2000". Held annually by the BCA, construction projects are assessed on meeting criteria such as high standards of management, technical expertise, workmanship and environmental friendliness. Capital Square also clinched the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s "Architectural Heritage Award" for restoration of two blocks of 19 conservation shophouses, at Pekin and China Streets.

Awards for InterContinental Singapore

InterContinental Singapore was voted one of the Top 7 Best Business Hotels in the World by Business Traveller, Asia Pacific in 2004. The hotel was voted for its world-class facilities, modern amenities, outstanding services and a host of superb facilities.

In 2003, InterContinental Singapore won the Best Hotel - Asia Pacific Award in the Priority Club Rewards Members' Choice Awards 2003. It also won the "Cool Singapore" Award for its efforts in the prevention, recovery and risk management of during the SARS.

In 2001, Intercontinental Singapore won 1 star, 3 Gold and 19 Silver Awards at the Excellent Service Awards organised by the Singapore Productivity and Standards Boards. In addition, one of the hotel's employees has won the Model Workers Award presented by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and National Trade Union Congress. InterContinental Singapore won the "Excellence Award" in the "Best Public Relations Work for the Environment" category at the Public Relations in the Service of Mankind (PRISM) Wards 2000. It also won the prestigious "Green Leaf Award 1999", presented by the Ministry of Environment, the Water Conservation Award 1999 presented by the Singapore Hotels Association, as well as the Green Globe Certificate of Achievement 1999 presented by the World Travel and Tourism Council.
