 Keppel Land is
committed to caring for the environment wherever its properties may be found. We believe
harmonising with and improving the environment to enhance the quality of life of the
people who use our properties.
This credo guides the design and development of all our
projects in Singapore and overseas.
Oases in the City
As one of the largest landlords in Raffles Place, Keppel
Land has contributed to making Singapores Central Business District distinctive with
eight prime office buildings.
Apart from providing state-of-the-art working environment,
Keppel Land also consciously looks into creating green oases, where practicable, for
environmental relief from concrete skyscrapers. Lush landscaping, interactive water
features and roof gardens characterise some Keppel Land office buildings.
In the same vein, Keppel Land homes are nestled in
luxuriant sanctuaries where often cars are parked in the basement, freeing the first level
for greenery and carefree play.
Eco Efforts Overseas
With overseas developments, Keppel Land also makes efforts
towards preserving the precious ecosystem. At Spring City Golf and Lake Resort in Kunming,
China, steps taken to prevent pollution in the lake include setting up of the
resorts own sewerage treatment plant, planned application of pesticide, chemicals and
fertilizers, as well as having constant dialogue with local authorities on anti-pollution
activities.

At Spring City
care is taken to preserve the natural environment |
Like Spring City, in Ria Bintan, another Keppel Land resort
in Pulau Bintan, Indonesia, rain and treated waste water are recycled to irrigate the golf
courses, and landscape. Tree planting programmes are actively undertaken to encourage the
return of wildlife to the resorts.
At Botanic Cove, Keppel Lands latest residential
development in Sydneys Hunters Hill municipality, a dedicated planting programme
allows an existing flora of more than 130 species to flourish.
Presenting a fresh concept in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam,
Keppel Land built a park with a playground adjacent to Saigon Centre, already an
established landmark right in the citys main thoroughfare.
