Saigon Sports City
Keppel Land and Hong Kong's Chiap Hua Group is
developing Saigon Sports City, a fully integrated residential,
commercial and recreational sporting hub on a 74-ha site
in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
Catering to the upper income market, Saigon Sports City
is poised to meet the growing demand for well-planned
residential estates in the city. With proximity to many
sports and recreational facilities, the development will
be the first of its kind to embark on a "healthy lifestyle"
development concept in Vietnam.
The site is easily accessible via the Hanoi Highway and
is flanked by two scenic rivers. Located just 25 minutes
from the city centre, in the popular An Phu Ward in
District 2, the development will comprise mainly quality
apartment housing with complementary commercial
complexes, and a 14-ha area designated for public
sport facilities.
Within close proximity to the International School,
British International School, foreign-developed serviced
apartments and Metro Hypermart, the area is popular
with the upper income locals and expatriate communities.
Keppel Land holds a 90% stake in the joint venture
company, while Chiap Hua Group holds the remaining
10%. The joint venture is among the first 100% foreignowned
enterprises allowed to develop and sell residential
properties in Vietnam.
About 200 units under Phase One of the development
is expected to be launched in 2007.
